Brew Targets

Brew Targets is used to create volume targets, to support creating and maintaining your brewing schedule. The volume targets are typically driven by sales forecasts. They can also be driven by volume requirements of upcoming major promotional events.

One of the benefits to define and maintain these brew targets is that the SmartBrew system will then be able to automatically reconcile these targets with your brew schedule and brew progresses, and provide real-time feedback on whether and how your current brew schedule will allow you to achieve the volume targets that you have defined.

To access the Brew Targets, click on the arrow down symbol next to the Brewing link in the top menu, and then select Brew Targets.

Accessing Brew Targets

Brew Targets are organized into three sections, Current MonthCurrent Quarter, and  Next Quarter, depending on end date of the plan. For example, targets with Plan End Date that fall into the current quarter will be displayed in the Current Quarter section, and targets that end during the next calendar quarter would be displayed in the Next Quarter section. Besides the targeted total brewing volume for each planned liquid, the Brewed column of the section also shows the amount of already brewed volume in the system that is expected to become available before the plan end date. The SmartBrew system also automatically calculates for each target the current Target % Achieved, using a combination of brewing progress data and your brew schedule.

Brew Targets

The concept of Brew Target is quite flexible and can be used in a variety of different scenarios for different purposes, such as when you want to plan ahead for a major promotion of a particular liquid that is expected for cause volume demand spike during certain time period. It can also be used in a contract brewing scenario, to plan for total brewing volume for a particular customer over the contracted term and be able to continuously monitor the progress of contract execution.
