The finished product Inventory Summary page provides a summary of quantity and location for each finished product SKU. To access details of each SKU, click on the symbol. To add a new SKU, click on the Add New Inventory SKU button.
Finished Product Inventory Details
The Inventory Description section of the page displays inventory information of the SKU, including quantity based on current system records, SKU number, warehouse location, and PAR level.
To change these settings, click on the Edit button and update using the Update Inventory Details page. The SmartBrew Inventory Management module provides you with the option to let the system automatically set your PAL level based on the your sales quantity over the past weeks. You can set this up by selecting Y for Automatic Setting of PAL Level and then enter a number in the Auto PAL Level Based on # of Weeks of Sales field.
You can also set up your specific warehouse storage configuration for this particular SKU, by specifying its Pallet Size, Row Size, Flat Size.
Inventory Count & Adjustment
The Inventory Count & Adjustment section of the Inventory Details page is designed for recording warehouse inventory counts and inventory adjustments. For each SKU, the system generates a counting sheet for users to conveniently enter inventory count numbers based on your warehouse configuration, and then automatically calculate out the total counted inventory quantity for you. If the counted quantity does not match to the current quantity on record in the system, you can click on the Adjust to Counted Quantity button to adjust the system record based on your actual count.
The Inventory Management module also tracks three kinds of inventory movements:
- Inventory inflows into the company's warehouses
- Inventory outflows out of the company's warehouses, and
- Inventory transfers between the company's warehouses
Inventory Inflows
To access the inventory inflows page, click on the symbol beside the Finished Product link in the top menu and select Inventory Inflows.
The SmartBrew Inventory module automatically creates entries for inventory inflow into the warehouse from packaging production batches. You can also manually record inventory inflows from production or product returns, by clicking on the Record New Inventory Inflow button. To update an existing inventory inflow record, click on the symbol of the record.
Inventory Outflows
Finished product inventory outflows from the warehouse such as dumping of expired products are recorded in the inventory outflows section of SmartBrew Inventory Management. To access the inventory outflows summary page, click on the symbol next to the Finished Product link in the top menu and select Inventory Outflows.
To record a new outflow, click on the Record New Inventory Outflow button. To access an existing outflow, click on the symbol.
